A Four-Stage Progression into Mastery
This training develops in layers.
Each module builds nervous system literacy, embodied skill, equine awareness, and clinical precision — without clinical rigidity.
MODULE 1 — Foundation
Safety. Somatic Awareness. Facilitation Grounding.
This four-day immersion is the prerequisite for all CEEL training.
Before trauma resolution can occur, safety must be established — physically, emotionally, relationally, culturally, and energetically.
In this module you will develop:
- Core facilitation presence and embodied self-awareness
- Clear session structure (opening, resourcing, integration, closure)
- Trauma awareness and nervous system basics
- Attunement to equine behaviour within sessions
- Risk awareness and ethical containment
- The ability to track subtle shifts in clients and horses
You will competently facilitate:
- A reflective session
- An experiential learning session
- A somatic awareness session
This module establishes the conditions required for real trauma work.
MODULE 2 — Working With Individuals
Nervous System Precision & The Trauma Loop
This module introduces the mechanics of regulation and dysregulation.
You will learn to identify:
- A client’s trauma loop (trigger → activation → defensive strategy → collapse / repetition)
- Window of tolerance and capacity thresholds
- Signs of sympathetic activation, freeze, functional freeze, and collapse
- How culture, identity, and lived experience shape nervous system responses
You will develop skill in:
- Stabilising activation safely
- Containing overwhelm without suppression
- Working with sensations and emotional energy
- Maintaining psychological and spiritual safety
- Understanding the eight key roles horses play in session
- Conducting a complete session with clarity and confidence
This is where you move from intuitive facilitation to informed, embodied precision.
MODULE 3 — Trauma Resolution
Completing the Incomplete Response
Trauma is not the event.
It is the unfinished survival response.
In this module you will learn how to guide the body to complete defensive responses that were interrupted or suppressed — allowing the nervous system to register: it is over.
You will work with:
- Freeze and functional freeze states
- Compressed survival energy
- Spontaneous gesture and movement
- Posture and motor impulses
- Memory without narrative
- The energy of anger and its role in restoring agency
- Cultural influences on expression, inhibition, and meaning-making
Participants practice working with highly sensitive nervous systems with precision and containment.
When trauma energy resolves, clients experience safety, empowerment, clarity, and restored agency — an organic reset to their nervous systems.
MODULE 4 — Advanced Integration
Mastery, Complexity & Depth Work
This module refines your ability to track direction, pace, intensity and timing.
You will learn how to:
- Access deeper layers of trauma energy safely
- Interrupt and update entrenched patterns and self-limiting beliefs
- Work skillfully with shame, grief, anxiety, depression and collapse
- Recognise trauma expressions shaped by culture and intergenerational patterns
- Work with boundaries and agency restoration
- Use appropriate touch for coherence and containment
- Integrate the spiritual dimension of trauma without bypassing the nervous system
You will develop advanced tracking through your own nervous system responses — using your body as calibrated data rather than projection.
This is not an accumulation of techniques.
This is embodied mastery.
