This module involves consolidation, case examples and review, and practice in preparation for the Advanced Working with Individuals module.
In this training you will:
- Expand your skill of resourcing clients – this is fundamental to the somatic work, and it is most effective when it is almost seamless – directing the client’s attention to the ‘right’ resource at the right time
- Expand your facilitation skills to guide your client with greater precision – increase your understanding of what happens when we apply LIFCIDS and how this influences the client’s experience
- Learn the SIBAM framework as described by Peter Levine in his book, “In an Unspoken Voice” and how each of the elements of SIBAM needs to be present
- Learn about coupling dynamics – which refers to the relationship that different elements of SIBAM have with one another
- Learn about memory and how to work with a client when memory is not present
- Learn how to work with physical movement to complete a defense response
- Learn and practice how to work with pain
- Learn and practice how to work with emotions
- Learn the importance of anger, its relationship to trauma, and how to work with it
- Learn and practice working with grief
- Learn and practice working with posture
- Learn and practice working with the energy of sensations
- Refine you skills of working with boundaries
On completion of this module, you will have greater confidence guiding clients’ movement towards resolution of their adverse experiences.
This module is a prerequisite for the Working with Individuals Advanced Module.
